my second car in 1967 was a '59 Beetle. It had issues but I restored all but the paint and until this day is was still one of the most dependable cars I ahve owned. Of course it was very simple and had almost nothing in it to go wrong but it was a great car. I have owned many cars since, including a '71 Super Beetle, a Rabbit, a Cabrio and a Jetta.
