India's super-cheap car finally released
The Nano, billed as the world's cheapest car, will launch Monday after months of building excitement, says its manufacturer, India's Tata Motors. The company will start taking orders for the ultra-cheap 100,000 rupee ($2,082) car starting the second week of April. It also unveiled the European version of the Nano at the Geneva Auto Show two weeks ago, and plans to sell the "People's Car" to emerging markets in Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia within a few years.

Ford Fiesta continues the global party
Ford may have built its popular Fiesta for the European market, but the affordable compact is rapidly spreading around the globe. Less than two weeks ago, a four-door sedan and five-door hatchback were launched in China, and a North American version is expected to debut in early 2010. To generate buzz in the U.S., Ford is looking for 100 "Millennials" (people born after 1980) to drive a new Fiesta and relate their experience through social networking sites. Applications will be taken until Monday at midnight at fiestamovement.com.
