OWNER: Tony Cook, Joyce, WA
OCCUPATION: Retired U.S. postal worker
CAR'S YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL: 1970 AMC AMX
"I LOVE MY CAR BECAUSE ... it's not a GM, Ford or Chrysler muscle car. My first new car was a 1969 AMX and this is the third two-seater AMX I've owned. American Motors Corporation created the two-seater AMX in 1968 to compete with muscles cars of that era and continued production through 1970. The two -eater models are rare and the 390ci engine is fast. "

Classic muscle car and very nice. I don't see a lot of these on the road, seems like the Cameros and Mustangs from that era all get the attention, but this looks pretty dang cool. Wonder if its hard to get parts?

Last one I saw was in "Man with a Golden Gun" James Bond movie.
Nice car Tony. Don't see a lot on the road which makes it very special. I'm still a GTO guy myself, but that's a nice, nice car you have.

VERY nice; also REFRESHING to see someone who doesn't follow the LEMMINGS, and follows his own path. Of course, this doesn't ALWAYS play out....but TONY, YOU DID GOOD! SMART looking car, and DISTINCTIVE too.

Nice ride Tony!
A really unique car and it sounds like an excellent example. Keep the muscle car faith going!

The Poats Brothers still ripping up the area?
Oh yeah....nice car...

Wjow, this '70 looks mint! Same car that Mad Max had in the Road Warrior ... or was that a Javelin too?

Actually, the car Roger Moore drove and did the circular jump in "Man with the Golden Gun" was a 1974 AMC Hornet. The villain in the film, Scaramanga (Christopher Lee), also drove an AMC product, a 1974 Matador coupe.
