Buy a GM? More say maybe, survey finds
Kelley Blue Book recently announced the results of its survey of in-market new-car shoppers and found shoppers' likelihood of buying a car from a U.S. manufacturer if the company were to go bankrupt improved in May 2009 versus April 2009. In May, 52 percent said they were likely to buy from General Motors if GM were going through bankruptcy, versus 47 percent in April. In addition, 31 percent said they were likely to buy from Chrysler if it were going through bankruptcy in May, versus 29 percent in April.

Team Seattle makes top 10 at Le Mans
Team Seattle, staring actor Patrick Dempsey, finished ninth in the GT class at 24 Hours of Le Mans last weekend. All three of the team's drivers -- Dempsey, Joe Foster and Seattleite Don Kitch Jr. -- were making their debuts in the classic endurance race. The team raised more than a quarter million dollars from donations and lap pledges for Seattle Children's Hospital. The race's overall winner was the Peugeot team of ex-Formula One drivers.
