British firm debuts hydrogen power car
Britain-based Riversimple, a company founded by former race car driver Hugo Spowers and backed by Porsche scion Sebastian Piech, last week unveiled the prototype for a two-seat, hydrogen powered car promising fuel consumption equivalent to 360 miles per gallon. Instead of selling the car, touted as the world's first low-cost and practical hydrogen vehicle, Riversimple says it plans to lease it for about 200 British pounds ($315) per month for the car's expected 20-year lifetime. Leases would include refueling. Production may begin by 2013, the company says.

Look at the fools still buying huge, gross trucks. Some people will never learn.
Sign me up for one of the Hydrogen cars, or a Honda Insight Hybrid.

Some people still need trucks to work or function--I wouldn't call them fools. Wish I had one...

I've got a 2006 crew cab Tacoma that only sees use when I need it... the rest of the time I'm on my 50mpg Suzuki DL650 motorcycle. And yes, that's still true in the fall and winter. Rain or shine, If I don't need to drive the truck, then I don't.

I have questions about the hybrid. Sounds nice, but will it be available in the US? Will the lease term be a 20-year lease, making the car effectively cost $75000? What if I don't want to drive the same car for 20 years?

I meant hydrogen car, not hybrid.
