Drunk driving, overall fatalities drop in 2008
The U.S. Department of Transportation announced this month that the number of overall traffic fatalities reported in 2008 hit their lowest level since 1961, and were down 9.7 percent from 2007. The year over year drop is the largest annual reduction in terms of both number and percentage since 1982. Drunk-driving fatalities -- those from crashes involving a driver or motorcycle operator with a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or greater -- also declined by 9.7 percent in 2008.

Ford of Kirkland gets prestigious award
Ford of Kirkland was awarded its fourth consecutive President's Award by Ford Motor Company for 2008. The honor is given to only 385 out of more than 4,000 dealerships nation-wide. The award goes to dealers who provide customers with superior excellence in sales, service and overall ownership of their Ford vehicles. Nominations originate with customers based on their dealership experience.
