Truck of the future wins senior $4,000
Mitch Cory, a recent graduate of Bishop Blanchet High School, earned the grand prize of $4,000 in the Washington State Auto Dealers Association (WSADA) "Car of My Future" scholarship. Applicants were asked to describe and name their perfect vehicle, explain how it would support the career of their choice and describe an advertising campaign for the vehicle. Cory's "Ion" is a black electric truck with self-cleaning paint and solar panels. Four high school seniors from Washington earned a total of $10,000 in WSADA scholarships. WSADA intends to offer another scholarship program in the fall of 2009 for the graduating class of 2010. Information will be available at wsada.org.
