Fast food charge?
A "green" McDonald's in Cary, N.C., that opened in July features the chain's first electric car charging stations. The two battery charging units can be used free of charge by patrons of the restaurant or the nearby shopping center. McDonald's said it will add charging stations to some restaurants across the country if the Cary venture is successful.
Lexus hybrid
Toyota rolled out its first hybrid-only Lexus luxury model, the HS250h -- which stands for "harmonious sedan" -- this month in Japan, with U.S. sales expected to begin in September. It starts at 3.95 million yen ($42,500) in Japan, relatively affordable for a Lexus. North American prices aren't decided, according to Toyota.

Way to go McDonald's! This completely makes up for the deforestation of tropical rainforest to make grazing land for all your cheap beef...
