"I LOVE MY CAR BECAUSE ... 'Gertrude' and I have been in every state together except Texas and Oklahoma. I have done a lot of crazy things in this car and had so much fun with her. Gertrude will go 80 mph on the Interstate (when no one is looking), up the side of a mountain on a logging road or on the beach in the sand. Great fun!"

I'm in a raging state of jealousy over this beauty!!!
If that car could talk...good thing "Getrude" can't. Congratulations on being the proud owner of this american masterpiece and thank you for sharing it.

I had a 1970 version of this wonderful car and regret selling it everyday. I am keeping my eye out for another one someday. Great car James.

This isn't a Kaiser automobile. Kaiser closed in the 50's. This is a product of the Jeep Corporation, which in 1969 was part of the American Motors Corporation, or AMC for short. So, this is an AMC Jeep Jeepster.

Actually AMC did not buy out Kaiser Jeep until 1970

I had a 1969 CJ-5 and it was a Kaiser Jeep. It had the Buick V-6 engine and could really get up and go. Later, I had a 1975 AMC Jeep CJ-5, too, with the Rambler 250 CID in line 6 cyl. engine.
