Honda electric
Honda plans to introduce electric vehicles in the U.S. early next decade, after focusing so far only on gas-electric hybrids. The company is building an all-electric prototype to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show next month.
Gridlock returns
Traffic congestion across the country is rising after hitting a low point earlier this year. Kirkland-based INRIX, which measures traffic and gridlock patterns, attributes the increases to signs of economic recovery, rollouts of highway construction projects funded by federal stimulus money and lower fuel prices.

Re: NWAUTOS, Gridlock returns
Who’s kidding who?
“Traffic congestion across the country is rising after hitting a low point this year.” The reasons given by INRIX is somewhat clouded by what the auto industry and oil industry wants you to believe. Reasons such as “economic recovery and highway construction projects funded by federal stimulus money” are correct but “lower gas prices” is relevant to where you live. Lower gas prices would mean $2.00 or less for gasoline not $2.99. INRIX has succumbed to gas price increase status quo the oil companies are wishing for. Other and more subtle reasons for gridlock are no capable or adequate alternative transportation and the increase in sales of fuel economy automobiles.
