Chrysler's plan for new line-up unveiled
Chrysler unveiled details of its five-year plan last week to boost sales and return to profitability with a "soulful" new lineup. The fresh crop of vehicles will include three Fiats sold under the Dodge brand -- a subcompact hatchback, compact sedan and midsize sedan -- with the first hitting showrooms in 2012. Overall, 21 new vehicles co-developed with alliance partner Fiat will be launched between 2010 and 2014, the company said, adding that 75 percent of the current vehicle line will be renewed or modified next year.

Childhood racer gets top toy honor
Along with the ball and the Game Boy, the Big Wheel last week was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame. The low-slung tricycle that handled like a race car was launched in 1969, and its design gave young children a sense of independence and control, judges said. The hall of fame is part of the Strong National Museum of Play in New York.
