Toyota debut
The FT-EV II electric vehicle (right) that Toyota unveiled at last month's Tokyo Motor Show isn't the electric vehicle the company has promised to release by 2012. The company says it's just a concept and won't be available by 2012.
Electric transit
Ford has announced it will collaborate with Azure Dynamics Corporation to produce a battery electric Ford Transit Connect van for the U.S. and Canadian markets in 2010. The Transit Connect BEV will use Azure Dynamics' electric drive technology for shuttle buses and commercial trucks.

Why to all these "green" cars have to look so stupid? I can understand how parking in some European cities and New York can be a problem. But it is really silly to see Smarts tooling around in Jefferson County. I can only assume the owners think it is so cool to drive around with your car saying
"SEE HOW GREEN I AM".
My condolences to those Smart owners.
