"I LOVE MY CAR BECAUSE ... ... my mom was the first owner of this oh-so-sweet car. This summer she was a star in the soon to be released movie 'The Details' where Laura Linney drove her in a chase scene after Tobey Maguire in his Prius. My car made me proud."

Cool. My mom had exactly the same car. Same color. Automatic, too. Except, that it was the wagon. Learned to drive in it. Wish I could find it again.

I walk past your car on my way to my bus stop just about every day & always wondered about the story of the license plate. Thanks for sharing it with us, Pru!

I had a '71 with a 2000 cc truck motor in it. It was my rally car! Airborne several times and lived to tell the tale.
Oh, the days of no seat belts and five or six high school kids doing 80 mph down logging roads in a tin can.
Big fun.

You've taken very good care of the Datsun. The pride shows.

Nice work on the Datsun! My wife used to have a mustard-yellow '71 automatic with a truck engine that could really haul ass if needed. Don't miss the exhaust fumes, but I do miss that legendary 510 pep!

Love it! I couldn't resist doing some research on the Internet. Love you!

Pru - you totally ROCK! What a great car. Takes me back to some sweet high school memories. My boyfriend had an old B210 with holes in the floorboard. We'd get soaked driving through puddles but it ran like a champ!

Japanese cars like this do not survive in the Midwest!

Nice car, nice dog, nice digs.....lookin good, Pru!!

I just love old japanese cars. They don't have quite as large a following as other old cars, but a loyal following it is. An old Datsun or Honda beats a new hybrid in my book any day of the week! Thanks for showing us this sweet example!

So sweet! Reminds me of my '74 Fiat 124 four door sedan. Same red. Loved that car!

Being my only car and nearing 125,000 miles, I am very grateful to my mechanics Raoul and Bob. She is the only choke on the block, a perfect fit, and a great color! When I pass her on to my sons, the license can stay the same...MY MOMZ.
