A tool to test abilities of older drivers
Older drivers can assess their ability to drive safely in a convenient and private manner with AAA's free online version of Roadwise Review, a scientifically valid tool that measures the physical and mental abilities shown to be the strongest predictors of crash risk among older drivers. Screening areas include leg strength and general mobility, head and neck flexibility, visual acuity and working memory. The program also provides feedback about the user's ability to drive safely. It can be downloaded at SeniorDrivers.org.

Blue jeans at the office? It's the new GM
General Motors' button-down dress code was loosening up last month, with jeans now allowed when appropriate. It's perhaps one of the most visual signs of change at the post-bankruptcy automaker's headquarters building -- where a Brooks Brothers once operated. "As we work to create the New GM with a new culture that includes personal accountability, our existing dress code seems outdated," wrote Mary Barra, vice president of global human resources, in the announcement. "Going forward, our dress code policy is 'Dress appropriately.' "
