Up Lite revealed
Volkswagen unveiled the third variation of its Up city vehicle at the Los Angeles auto show last month. The Up Lite is based on the same platform as previous Up concepts but adds a bit more usable space. The Lite is powered by a diesel-hybrid powertrain that gets 70 mpg combined, which would make it the most fuel-efficient four-seat vehicle on the market.
Fuel leaders
Hyundai has taken the lead as the most fuel-efficient automaker in the U.S. according to the latest Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy report. The automaker's car and truck combined average is 30.1 mpg. Honda (29.7), Volkswagen (29.6), Toyota (29.4) and Kia (28) round out the top 5.

What is the point of this "content"?? Seriously, 3 sentences each & a mini-picture? Either could be interesting articles, but this is just silly. And it is a "collaborative effort?? Precious.

Pete, some of us don't have time to read long articles, so these three sentences and mini picture are perfect. They say exactly what needs to be said, and I find them very interesting.

First, the VW is called the "up!".
Second, the VW article is a bit confused. It says:
"The Up Lite is based on the same platform as previous Up concepts"
The initial up! concepts were rear engined, RWD cars. Subsequent concepts have been front engined, FWD cars. Different platforms. Saying that the up! Lite is the same platform as previous up! concepts says nothing.
