Have you had your car stolen or broken into?

back sometime in the late '80's, someone broke into my car and stole my jacket and a bag of popcorn. we caught him running away and he appeared to be a transient. who would steal a nasty bag of leftover popcorn from a bar? (half a grocery bag's worth, lol...i barmaided there and used to take the old popcorn to feed the ducks down at greenlake. and the jacket, whatever...i was mostly mad that the jacket was taken because it had little pins and badges from places i'd been, like expo's, etc....oh well. should have kept the doors locked.

now, about 2 years ago my husband got up at 4am to go to work, and our car wasn't there. i couldn't believe someone would steal that POS, lol. it was locked up tight, but the cops said they probably used a "shaved" key, 'cuz there was no damage, broken windows, cracked steering column, nothing. they found it the next day about 10 blocks away, so we figure they just got tired of walkin' and took the opportunity to take our car and make it where they were headed...
