Nayak Polissar hoped to see his 1979 Volvo 245 DL station wagon in the newspaper when he submitted it to NWautos' Autobiography feature last November (see how his photo appeared here), but he never expected it to show up behind Jon Stewart on national television. During the March 16 broadcast of "The Daily Show," Stewart replaced Polissar in the photo and called the car his own, joking it would be the collateral for a million-dollar loan.
Polissar was delighted to see his car used. "Greenie has now served amusement and joy to millions of Stewart's fans and viewers -- in addition to the 300,000-plus miles of service to our family and community. I was happy that Stewart showed Greenie flying toward 'auto heaven.' But that won't happen before many more miles with our family."
