Seattle below par in fair auto repair survey
AutoMD.com, an auto repair resource owned by US Auto Parts Network, has rated the 50 most-populated U.S. cities from best to worst for fair auto repair cost estimates. The company had mystery shoppers call a range of shops for cost estimates on a front brake replacement, and measured for affordability, price disparity within the city and shop integrity when prices were challenged. The top 5 cities were: Memphis, Tenn., Jacksonville, Fla., Omaha, Neb., San Antonio and Austin, Texas. The bottom five cities were: Chicago, Honolulu, Albuquerque, N.M., Washington, D.C., and Raleigh, N.C. Seattle ranked 38th.
