"I LOVE MY CAR BECAUSE ... it was a surprise birthday gift from my husband when he picked me up at SeaTac. I asked him where my car was and he pointed to this beautiful, pewter convertible and said, 'happy birthday!' It's been an absolute dream to drive for all of its 80,000-plus miles."
Send in your photo and get a gift card from us! E-mail a photo of you and your car (172-dpi, about 5 by 7 inches) plus all the information included above to mycar@nwautos.com. If we pick yours to publish, we'll send you a $5 Starbucks gift card.

I don't see how anyone could own a car without a trunk.

... the whole point of having a car without a trunk is to leave all your physcial and mental 'baggage' in your rear view mirror ...
these are fun cars ... my dad had a '93 for a while. he owned it 'til it was too much trouble for his old back to deal with ...

C5 convertibles do have a trunk albeit a shallow one. :)
If you need a minivan, get a minivan.

Corvettes are meant to be driven--nice to see someone racking up real mileage on one!
Also nice to see that not all Corvette owners are 70 year old men with aviator sunglasses and gold necklaces!

As the owner, I can say without question that Velvet DOES have a trunk and a hidden lower compartment so that we are able to take two pairs of cowboy boots, two sets of chinks (short chaps), two cowboy hats, hiking boots, and associated clothing for a two-week trip we take every year to Wyoming. Even loaded down, she still gets 30 MPG. And thanks for the comment about the owner...right on! While I may be a princess, Velvet is not a garage queen. She gets driven year-round. Love it!
