Big financing offers continue until June
Chrysler is offering zero-percent financing on most 2010 model year vehicles through June 1. The deals are similar to offers Chrysler had in April, and are intended to help Chrysler compete with Toyota, which has extended its own zero-percent financing deals through June 1. Chrysler had the highest incentives in the industry in April, at $3,374 per vehicle, according to Edmunds.com. Its sales were up 25 percent that month, thanks in part to a promotion on its minivans.

Ford starts Fiesta sales training early
Nine months ahead of this summer's launch of the new Fiesta, Ford has begun providing special training to dealerships to prepare their staffs to sell the company's first subcompact car in more than a decade. The automaker decided to provide more product training than usual because it is targeting young, social-media savvy buyers such as millennials. The special training includes teaching dealership employees how to effectively reach young buyers through social-media sites such as Facebook and YouTube, and educating them about the car's unique options such as colorful body panel graphics.
