Hawaii plant
South Korean electric car manufacturer CT&T plans to build an assembly plant in Hawaii to produce small two-seaters that reach speeds up to 40 mph. The company showed 12 models at the Hawaii Capitol earlier this month (shown above), including a hatchback, golf cart, mini pickup and police parking enforcement vehicle.
Hydrogen tubes
Israeli scientists have developed a less bulky way to fuel hydrogen-powered cars. C.En Ltd. has created glass filaments that hold hydrogen. Thousands grouped together would fuel a car for 240 miles, using less than half the space and weight of tanks that are currently available.
