Large truck sales climb in March, April
Large pickup sales in the U.S. jumped 25.9 percent in March, outpacing the 24.4 percent rise in overall vehicle sales. It's the first time the full-size truck segment has beat industry-wide sales since 2007, according to Edmunds.com. Year over year sales were also up in April, with Ford selling 42 percent more F-series trucks than in 2009. Auto industry analysts say truck sales are often indicators of economic recovery and improved housing markets.
