Buick Volt?
General Motors is planning to adapt the Chevrolet Volt platform for China under the Buick banner, and now says it may do the same in North America. The first application could come as early as 2012 in the Lucerne model (shown above) or in a brand-new vehicle.

Hybrid sales
Sales of the Toyota Prius (shown above) and Ford Fusion Hybrid have helped the hybrid market in the U.S. post its best sales numbers since last August, Edmunds reported recently. At that time, gas sales in the U.S. were $4 per gallon. Higher levels of incentives on certain models and fears over future high gas prices are attributed to leading to a nearly 20 percent rise in sales in April and a nearly 10 percent rise in May.
