Texan donates exotic cars worth millions
Tony Buzbee, a Texas developer and attorney, insists he doesn't feel the faintest pang of remorse about a decision to give away $3.5 million worth of exotic cars. Buzbee and his wife, Zoe, say they want to teach their children there's more to life than possessions and that some people live hand-to-mouth. The 13 automobiles -- including a $525,000 gunmetal gray Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR; a $250,000, canary yellow Spyker C-8; and a $250,000 Ford GT with a top speed of 205 mph -- are being donated to The Jesse Tree, a faith-based social service agency, of which Buzbee is a longtime board member.

VW wants to try Phaeton in US again
Volkswagen plans to bring the $85,000 Phaeton back to the U.S. as part of the automaker's aim of tripling its share of the American market by 2018. The sedan did not sell well its first time in the States, and was withdrawn in 2006. VW this year, however, is introducing an updated Phaeton, which has new front and rear sections, an interior upgrade and a wider selection of engines. The restyled Phaeton entered European showrooms in June. A U.S. release date had not been announced.
