Wired Tesla
The upcoming Tesla Model S (shown above) will feature 4G cellular Internet access and text-to-speech software. CEO Elon Musk also says Tesla will allow third-party software developers to write applications for the center console, similar to the apps available for Apple and Android cellphones.

Super electric
Toyota is working on an upper-luxury electric vehicle to rival upcoming electric supercars from Mercedes-Benz and Audi. It may be based on the Lexus LFA (shown above), which was just released, though the electric version is not expected to go on sale until 2015. The car would have four electric motors (one at each wheel) worth 500 horsepower and would go 0-to-60 mph in less than four seconds.
