(Nissan)

Falling Leafs
Although Washington state is an initial sales market for the Nissan Leaf, you likely won't see many on the streets after production begins in December. The company says it will only produce 200 of the electric cars that month. Nissan says it chose the 200 lucky buyers based on "when consumers submitted their original reservations online and by the consumer's market."

New scion
Toyota has announced that the Scion iQ will be heading to showrooms in March 2011. The inexpensive micro-subcompact will be identical to the model on sale in Europe and Japan. It's currently the industry's smallest four-seater at about 10 feet in length, and is expected to get about 38 mpg.
