OnStar soon to get texts, Facebook
General Motors' OnStar communications unit will begin offering in-car access to Facebook and text messages later this month. OnStar will offer subscribers the chance to have their Facebook and text messages read to them. Users will also be able to use voice commands to respond to Facebook and text messages, a person familiar with the plans says. OnStar established itself as leader in safety and security communications, but is increasing infotainment services after seeing the success of Ford Sync technology.

Porsche four-door tops sales goals
Porsche says sales of its Panamera four-door sedan are exceeding expectations worldwide after one year on the market. Porsche has sold 22,518 of the sleek-looking luxury Panameras worldwide, the German automaker's first entry into the luxury four-door sedan market. The company has sold 6,188 Panameras in the U.S. since the model's introduction in October of last year. The cars have a U.S. starting price of $74,400, and can run as high as $135,300.
