Christmas Camaros gone in three minutes
In just three minutes Tuesday, customers bought all 100 of the special-edition 2011 Chevrolet Camaro convertibles offered in the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book. The new owners claimed the $75,000 cars through a telephone reservation process, General Motors says. The cars will be delivered next spring. Only 100 of the cars were built. They come in a special shade, Deep Bordeaux, with a matching fabric top. All have a 6.2-liter V-8 engine, but customers can choose an automatic or a manual transmission.

NASCAR switching to 'green' gasoline
NASCAR will move from unleaded fuel to an ethanol blend in all three of its national series beginning next season. The switch to Sunoco Green E15 was touted as yet another step by the auto racing series toward environment friendly practices. Other NASCAR green initiatives include a program that plants 10 trees for every green flag waved in a Sprint Cup race; a recycling program NASCAR touts as the largest in professional sports; Pocono Raceway, the world's largest solar-powered sports facility; and two new LEED certified "green buildings."
