GM electrics
General Motors says it will launch a test fleet of electric cars in South Korea as it continues to develop battery-powered models of its Chevrolet Cruze. Although GM says there's no plan to sell an electric Cruze in the U.S., the testing makes it clear that GM is developing a fully electric compact.

'Eco' rover
Land Rover plans to use Ford's 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine in its Evoque SUV, the smallest, lightest and most efficient vehicle the automaker has ever produced. The "baby Rover," due out in the next six months, will get 237 horsepower out of the four-cylinder engine.
