Bid on the first Chevy Volt; Trucks lead sales

Bidders vying to be first Chevy Volt owner
Want to own the first Chevrolet Volt? Bidding for the first one off the line started last week and ends Tuesday at Volt.CharityBuzz.com. Proceeds from the Volt auction benefit the Detroit Public Schools Foundation. As of Thursday, the bidding was up to $185,000. The car, which has a range of about 40 miles using only electricity, will retail for $41,000 and is eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit.
