Chrysler launches hopes on new sedans
Chrysler launched production of two mid-size sedans -- the revamped Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger -- last week in an effort to lure back customers and reinvigorate the brands. The 200 (shown at right) replaces the poor-selling Sebring. Chrysler says it made 45 different improvements just to dampen wind noise, from new window glass to a new engine mounting system. Both cars were restyled inside and out, and are the first vehicles designed and built in collaboration with new parent company Fiat.
