Latest Camaro ups the horsepower race
The pony race continues to heat up as Chevrolet unveiled its Camaro ZL1, equipped with a supercharged V-8 engine, last week at the Chicago Auto Show. The 550 horsepower machine takes aims at Ford Mustang's most powerful model, the Shelby GT500. The new version of the Camaro won't arrive in showrooms until the start of next year and pricing was not announced. GM says it has "track-ready" handling, a six-speed high-performance manual transmission, and huge brakes made by Brembo, a high-performance parts supplier.

Chrysler will continue emotional campaign
Chrysler's "Imported from Detroit" Super Bowl ad featuring rapper Eminem was such a hit with audiences that the company will launch similarly themed, emotional messages in 30- and 60-second TV spots debuting this month. More than 2,000 news organizations mentioned the two-minute gritty reminder of Detroit's rise and fall and determination to make a comeback after it aired. On YouTube, the video was viewed more than 1.2 million times in less than 24 hours, and numerous organizations named it one of the most popular ads shown during the game.
