The 2012 Buick LaCrosse midsize sedan, pictured, will feature a hybrid-style system called eAssist that uses regenerative braking, an electric motor, lithium-ion batteries and other changes to improve its fuel efficiency about 25 percent. The car will be priced at around $30,000 and will get 27 mpg city/37 mpg highway.

EV map
Electric-vehicle owners looking for somewhere to charge up need little more than Google.
