OWNER: Mike Mersman, Seattle
OCCUPATION: Boat broker
CAR'S MAKE AND MODEL: 1954 "Red Ram"
"I LOVE MY CAR BECAUSE ... I owned and drove this car all over Seattle in the 1970s and was able to acquire it again in 2005. This is one of four race/street sports cars built locally by Anders Thompson and raced on Seattle-area road-race tracks in the 1950s with Ferraris, Jags, Austin Healys and other famous sports cars. I'd love to find the next owner, someone who could restore this car to its previous glory."

Anders Thompson was my grandfather. I'd like to know more about this car.

Was this car ever run in the old Hillclimb at Ft. Lawton?

That is my grandfathers care. I don't remeber that race car, but I remeber some sharp roasters. My grandfather made some fiberglass hardtops for MG's and Sprites, that I loved to drive around town in the 70's

This belonged to my grandfather in the late '80's, it seems to have made it's rounds! I'd certainly like to talk to Mike and make a competitive offer. This belongs IN Seattle, on the streets. Not in some suburb, in a garage.

My grandfather built this car in 1954. Just like all my cousins above, I would also love to talk to Mike about keeping this car in Seattle.

I am Mike's friend. I placed this in the paper for him. We found the car rotting away in Ray's Junkyard in Lynnwood. We took it on a flatbed to Pacific Raceways a few years ago for the vintage road races. It drew a big croud touring the paddock on the back of the truck in the photo. People were crawling all over it all day long and talking to us about it. The car found a new owner and is in Washington somewhere on the coast near Ocean Shores. I am not in contact with the new owner but Mike of course is and I will pass your contact information to Mike to forward if you send it to harveysherman@hotmail.com

Can anyone say what chassis this is based on and what the engine is?
Thanks!

I own the car now.
It was built with a 1953 Dodge Red Ram Hemi motor in it,
That's what I'm putting back in it as well.
My contact is cvg@coastaccess.com
Cheer's, Curtis

It was built with a 241 Dodge Red Ram motor.
That's what I'm going to put back in it.
