Hybrid jaguar
Jaguar is entering the hybrid market with the C-X75. The supercar's boosted gas engine and two electric motors allow it to reach 200 mph and travel around 31 miles on electric power alone. Jaguar is taking orders for the 250 cars it will manufacture. They'll be priced from $1.1 million to $1.5 million.

Weeds we like
Ford is teaming with The Ohio State University to research how to turn dandelion roots into a rubber substitute that could be used for cupholders, floor mats and interior trim in vehicles. Not every dandelion will do: Researchers are using the Russian dandelion Taraxacum kok-saghyz (pictured) for the milky-white substance that seeps from its roots.
