Land Rover begins revamp with new SUV
Upscale British SUV brand Land Rover is about to begin overhauling its entire line, starting this fall with the 2012 Range Rover Evoque (shown). The Evoque, Land Rover's first new vehicle since the 2008 LR2, will be the lightest, most fuel-efficient Land Rover model to date. It's meant to draw a new crowd to the brand; the small SUV emphasizes high style and high-tech features to appeal to urban buyers. The five-door Evoque hatchback will start at $43,995, including shipping. A coupe hatch is $44,995. Land Rover was sold by Ford in 2008 to India's Tata.
