"Green" car fans may have a new mascot in "Cars 2" character Miles Axelrod (shown above). The ex-oil baron, voiced by Eddie Izzard, was once a gas-guzzler but has converted himself into an electric vehicle and now pushes the clean-fuel lifestyle. The movie centers around a plot to undermine a new green fuel product by traditional gasoline interests.

UPS is testing five trucks made from lightweight composite materials to see how much fuel the vehicles can save. The smaller, more aerodynamic trucks (shown) are about 1,000 pounds lighter than standard UPS trucks and are expected to save 40 percent on fuel use.
