Ford ranks highly in satisfaction survey
Porsche topped this year's J.D. Power and Associates customer satisfaction survey, with Jaguar and BMW coming in second and third. Ford posted the highest scores of any Detroit automaker, with its Ford brand outperforming Toyota and Honda, and Lincoln scoring higher than any other domestic luxury brand. That put all of Ford's brands above the industry average. The influential annual survey asks consumers to rate the performance, execution and layout of their new car or truck after three months of ownership.

The highest-ranked models by segment:

Sub-compact: Ford Fiesta
Compact: Chevrolet Volt
Compact sporty: Volkswagen GTI
Compact premium sporty: BMW Z4 Roadster
Entry premium: Lexus IS
Midsize: Suzuki Kizashi
Midsize sporty: Dodge Challenger
Midsize premium: BMW 5 Series
Large: Dodge Charger
Large premium: Hyundai Equus

L.A. cleaning up after red-light camera end
Now that Los Angeles has ended its 11-year red-light camera program, it's trying to figure out what to do with all the outstanding tickets. The L.A. city council remains divided over what to tell the nearly 65,000 motorists who were photographed running a red light, but haven't yet paid the $480 fine. The L.A. court system opted not to aggressively enforce collections against those who ignore the citations, leading to an uproar from drivers who paid their fines. Officials say there is no plan to offer refunds to those who paid.
