Although labeled concepts, the i8 and i3 are already slated for production in 2013. The i8 (shown, top) is a plug-in hybrid sport coupe that will carry a six-figure price tag. The i3 (bottom), a four-seat battery-powered compact car, will be aimed at a wider market. BMW took pains to maintain the zip, handling and style that the German automaker is known for in its first electric vehicles.
