Luxury e-car
Rolls-Royce unveiled its first electric vehicle, the 102EX (shown), at the Frankfurt auto show this month. The luxury vehicle has an electric power-train engine and is based on the company's classic Phantom.

Cheaper charger
Nissan has developed a charger for electric vehicles that's smaller, about half the price, and easier to install than its current model. The new charger will go on sale in November in Japan and later in the U.S. and Europe. The new charger will cost about half the current price of $19,000. An outdoor model will cost about $13,000.
