1884 steam vehicle sells for $4.62 million
An 1884 French-built steam runabout, billed as the world's oldest running family car, sold in Hershey, Pa., for $4.62 million recently -- about double the amount auctioneers expected. The de Deon Bouton et Trepardoux Dos-a-Dos Steam Runabout was sold at the annual RM Auctions Inc. sale to an undisclosed buyer. "La Marquise," as it's known, is one of the world's most important collectible cars, and pre-auction estimates had put the value at $2 million to $2.5 million. It seats four, has a top speed of 38 mph and requires about 45 minutes to get pressure in the boilers sufficient to operate.

Brotherton dealership celebrates reopening
The public is invited to celebrate the grand reopening of Brotherton Cadillac Buick GMC in Renton on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. The dealership, which underwent a five-month remodel, will host an open house featuring wine tastings, appetizers, music and door prizes. The dealership was almost completely gutted to make way for a more dramatic showroom, private customer interview spaces, more comfortable waiting areas and an expanded parts department. The dealership is located at 215 SW 12th St.
