Electric BMW brand and an air-powered car

Electric brand
BMW has created the "i" sub-brand for its electric vehicles, which will bear a BMW emblem with a blue ring around it. The first vehicles in the line are the i3 electric city car (shown) and the i8 hybrid supercar, which were shown as concepts at the Frankfurt auto show last month.

Air power
A three-wheeled car powered by compressed air recently set a new speed record for the vehicle type, clocking 80.3 mph. The KU:RIN (shown) was made by Toyota Industries, a supplier of automotive air conditioner compressors. The car's range is two miles.
