KBB: Toyota, Lexus are tops for resale
The Toyota and Lexus brands for the 2012 model year are projected to retain the highest values over the next five years, according to Kelley Blue Book, a website dedicated to new and used car information. Toyota's two brands were named winners of the KBB annual Best Resale Value Awards given at a ceremony before the on-going Los Angeles Auto Show. KBB gathers data based on auction transactions to create its forecast. Toyota's 2012 models are expected to retain 40.5 percent of their value after five years of ownership; Lexus models will hold 37.9 percent.
