5-Series hybrid
BMW has announced a third production hybrid on the heels of the ActiveHybrid 6 and 7 models. The midsize ActiveHybrid 5 sedan (shown) is expected to get 40-44 mpg from a six-cylinder engine mated with a 55-horsepower electric motor. It can be driven on electric power alone up to 37 mph for 2.5 miles.

Willie's bio-tour
Willie Nelson is going "green" on his Country Throwdown tour. The legendary singer has teamed with the Sustainable Biodiesel Alliance to keep his tour buses and fleet of vehicles running on locally sourced biodiesel fuel bought in each city in which he plays.
