MyFordTouch system getting upgrades
Ford is improving its onboard infotainment system, MyFordTouch, for the 2013 model year. Customers with earlier versions of the system are eligible for the upgrade, free of charge, as well. Among the improvements: the touch screen and voice recognition react faster; phone compatibility is improved; the navigation system has new map data with three-dimensional images; customers can plug in their tablets and audio books; and touch screen displays have fewer buttons, less clutter and larger fonts.

Honda: Civic refresh likely for 2013 model
After a complete revamp of its perennially hot-selling Civic for 2012, Honda is considering making quick changes to address complaints about the car. Alterations may come as soon as the 2013 model year. Typically, automakers make small interior and exterior changes two to three years after a car is redesigned, to hold consumers' interest in the model. However, many major publications, including Consumer Reports, criticized the new Civic (shown) on its steering feel, interior noise, choppy ride and low-grade interior materials, prompting a faster refresh.
