Volkswagen Cross Coupe
This four-door "coupe" debuted at the Tokyo auto show in November. It previews the look and underpinning of VW's next generation of crossover vehicle, with a compact shape and prominent grille. The all-wheel-drive hybrid can go about 25 miles on electricity alone.

Um, how is it a coupe rather a regular four-door crossover?

A coupe always refers to a two-door automobile. VW is misusing the term.
Thing is, the term also connotes a car that is quick, capable and handles well. So that's why they threw the moniker "coupe" onto what is indeed, a four-door crossover; that is essentially, just a high-powered sedan.

My almost new VW has been in the repair facility more times than I have ever been to the doctor in my entire life. Sometimes for weeks at a time. Be warned...
