First fits
The first of the all-electric 2013 Honda Fit EVs have been delivered to Google, Stanford University and the city of Torrance, Calif., in advance of the public introduction this summer. The three cars will be part of a demonstration program to provide advanced research and driving feedback that Honda can use in the development of future electric cars and powertrains.

California cuts
The Advanced Clean Car program, recently approved by the California Air Resources Board, will cut in half current greenhouse-gas emissions in that state by 2025. The new standards require 15 percent of new cars and small trucks sold each year in California to run on batteries, hydrogen fuel cells or plug-in hybrid technology within the next 13 years.
