Audi Q3 Vail
The Q3 — a compact crossover offered in the European market — will soon be coming to the U.S. Audi made the announcement at the Detroit auto show in January, and showed this concept version named for the Colorado ski resort. It has off-road trim, including lower-body cladding, underbody guard plates and 20-inch wheels. It also features aluminum roof rails designed for skis and snowboards. The Q3 is expected to hit American shores next year.

Back in the day, these were called "station wagons". We now know how popular station wagons are, when you don't call them station wagons.

John, Audi actually makes what you call a "station wagon". Audi calls it an "Avant" and is one of the most popular "station wagons" out there, especially the S and RS series Audi Avants. The Q3 is not a station wagon. The Q3 is actually closer to the A3 which is a "hatchback". Google it!

That's no station wagon. I'd take an Audi allraod quattro TDI Avant (wagon) today.
