"I LOVE MY CAR BECAUSE ... I have owned it since 2005 and it's had a complete restoration. It was number 85, built on July 13 in San Jose, Calif., on the first day of production. It's all original and a gold winner."

How can it have been built in San Jose when the early Mustangs were all built in Dearborn, MI? And production began in April of 1964....so how can July 13 be the first day of production? I would have serious questions about the authenticity of your car if I were you.

No, Johnson shutin, early Mustangs were indeed assembled at the San Jose (Milpitas) plant.

The first completed San Jose Mustang rolled-off the line on July 10, not July 13.
