McLaren 12C Can-Am
McLaren GT debuted its "ultimate track car" at California's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August. The car's 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine can produce up to 630 horsepower. Its aerodynamics are enhanced by a chassis, front splitter, dive planes and rear wing made of carbon fiber.

It should be pointed out that this is not a "race car". It is not designed in accordance with the rules of any sanctioned racing league. This is a private car owners' track car, and a very impressive one at that.
... sadly, it has the driver's seat in the wrong position. The center-driver McLaren F1 GTR cars are the stuff of legend. Those competed in the BPR Global GT Series, FIA GT Championship, JGTC, British GT Championship, and 24 Hours of Le Mans (winning in 1995). Ah, well, we shall wait for McLaren to bring forth a worthy F1 successor...

I like that it has a mischievous little smirk in the middle of the snarling splitter. Cars have faces, this one rivals a Miata's grin.
